In Carluke, a series of shop owners and charity volunteers have blasted the town’s Business Improvement District (BID) claiming they cannot afford to pay the BID’s financial levy.

Up in Lanark, a lifeline for keeping the town’s public toilets open at the Horsemarket has been given plus the town’s business owners have been invited to a meeting next Monday evening to discuss the Royal Burgh’s future.
