Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has returned to training ahead of their trip to Atalanta. Rodgers said earlier this month: "I think what we're conscious of with Cam is that he had a wee bit last season where he was in and out.
"Even though it's a totally different injury this time it's one where we were told at that time it could have been anywhere between two and three months but we're just not wanting to push him back in too early which might then set him back. So he's doing really well.
"He still has discomfort there. It's not as bad as it was for the Bratislava game. We don't think he's too far away from being where he wants to be. So we're just trying to manage that and just react to each day he trains to see what the after-effects are."
Left-back Greg Taylor won’t play a part in Bergamo. Rodgers said ahead of their match against Aberdeen: “Greg is doing really well, but he won’t probably come back into the squad training until after the Atalanta game.”

Atalanta have a few injury issues to deal with as they prepare to play Celtic. Former Arsenal man Sead Kolasinac has been suffering with flu and faces a race against time to be available.
Rafael Toloi and Odilon Kossounou are on the sidelines, along with Marco Brescianini and Giorgio Scalvini. Gianluca Scamacca is a major doubt as well.
Their boss Gian Piero Gasperini has had this to say about the Hoops: “You need to be careful, when we’re talking about the Champions League, because there’s some top teams. Against the top teams, if you perhaps get your approach wrong, you can concede a lot of goals. We’ve seen these kind of contrasting results so far as a result.
“So we will be taking into account the past two matches, but all the other games, such as the ones in the league as well. Atalanta would never underestimate an opponent. Celtic, especially in attack, are a very dangerous side, a very fast, rapid team. They’re used to winning, and they’re used to winning well.

He added: “The entire attack certainly is of concern. They’re fast. They obviously have their attacking players but also the midfielders join in with the attack as well. We have to be at our very best, very attentive of their rapidity and their ability to always score lots of goals. Celtic always tend to score and get into scoring positions.”
