How to watch Hibs vs Celtic: TV channel, live stream, team news, referee and VAR for Premiership showdown

Everything you need to know about how to watch Celtic’s trip to the capital

Celtic return to domestic action this weekend and will face Edinburgh opposition for the second week running, as they travel to Hibs.

The Hoops head to Edinburgh off the back of two home games with varying fortunes. Last Sunday, a thumping 7-1 victory over Hearts sent a message to the rest of Scottish football that the champions can be ruthless. However, a 2-1 defeat Celta Vigo on Thursday sparked further questions about Martin O’Neill’s side’s credentials on the European stage.

It’ll be top against bottom in the capital this weekend. Hibs have lost their last two on the bounce and are yet to get off the mark under new boss Marink Reedijk. Meanwhile, Celtic’s victory last week over their Edinburgh rivals put them four points clear at the summit. In a match which has been chosen for television broadcast, here’s everything you need to know about how to watch Hibernian vs Celtic this weekend, as well as some other useful match information.

What is the Celtic team news ahead of Hibs?

In-form attacker Callum Osmand had yet another injury scare when he was substituted off on Thursday night - but O’Neill confirmed it was only cramp. Defenders Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers could be set for a return after being spotted in training through the week. Midfielder Sepp Van den Berg remains a doubt fitness-wise.

What have Celtic said ahead of Hibs?

Ahead of Hibs, O’Neill confirmed the reason for Osmand’s substitution against Celta Vigo. He said: “Yeah, he was cramping. That's totally understandable. Really understandable from his viewpoint. That's fine. He's had very little football. He's been injured basically since the start of the season. He's coming round. He's done really well for us. Each time he was moving in the last three or four minutes he was just cramping.”
