An Aston Villa move for one former Rangers star has been mooted by a pundit.
Malik Tillman is currently thriving for PSV in the Eredivisie and the Champions League. He notched a brace midweek in Europe’s biggest club competition to send his stock soaring and spark links to big clubs.

They compensated Rangers for canning the loan agreement, and Tillman made his way to PSV where he has continued his upward trajectory. Pundit and former Premier League keeper Paul Robinson has discussed the merits behind a possible Aston Villa move for the USA international.
He believes that it will be a deal to keep an eye on ahead of January, but there’s some doubt over whether the ex-Rangers star can be an Aston Villa game-changer. Robinson told Football Insider: “They’ve got a very, very good scouting network. Tillman’s a good player.
“We’re seeing a lot this season of players that play well in the Champions League, two or three games. Then all of a sudden, because of the social media, because of the press, they’re immediately linked with moves to the Premier League.
“Is he as good as what Villa have got? Is he going to take him on to the next level? I’m not sure he is. If he plays at another level with better players he’ll get better as well. He’s one to watch.”
