Rangers vs Aberdeen injury news: 8 outs and 4 doubts for Premier Sports Cup semi-final showdown

Latest injury news ahead of Hampden tussle between Rangers and Aberdeen on Saturday

Rangers face Aberdeen in a massive Premier Sports Cup semi-final showdown at Hampden Park on Saturday - with both teams coming into the match in contrasting form and with their share of injury troubles.

With a spot in the final on the line against either Hearts or Hibs in mid-December, Rangers will look to extend their unbeaten run against the Dons to eight matches after recording six wins and one draw in their last seven meetings.

However, knockout football at the national stadium traditionally levels the playing field and Aberdeen will attempt to frustrate their fierce Glasgow rivals by setting up in a low defensive block and look to hit on the counter.

Derek McInnes’ side enter this clash riding a nine-game unbeaten run across all competitions, although they were pegged back to a 2-2 draw against Hearts at Tynecastle on Wednesday night.

In contrast, Stephen Robinson’s men are enduring a turbulent domestic campaign and head to Mount Florida on the back of consecutive Premiership defeats to Dundee United (3-2) and Falkirk (1-0).

Both managers will have to make do without a number of important players this weekend as they continue to navigate longer than ideal injury lists. GlasgowWorld takes a look at which players won’t or are unlikely to be involved at Hampden on Saturday.
