Rangers fringe man opts to represent himself amid late transfer window drama as agent sacked
Striker confirmed his agency status via social media
Rangers striker Bojan Miovski has parted ways with his agent as his future at Ibrox remains uncertain despite no transfer exit.
The 27-year old hasn’t had the desired impact in Govan following his move from Girona last year. Having found himself on the fringes of the Rangers squad rather than a first team regular, he was linked with a move away during the recently-closed transfer window but this never came to fruition. He has since made it clear via social media that he now represents himself in terms of agency matters.
Dutch giants Feyenoord and Turkish side Genclerbirligi were among the sides interested in Miovski towards the end of the window to no avail. Since then, the Light Blues signed Venezuelan striker Kevin Kelsy for around £9m, putting his position in the team further at risk. The North Macedonia international has only played 40 minutes so far this season and was left out of the squad entirely for last weekend’s 1-0 Premiership victory over Motherwell.

Miovski releases statement on agent status
Following a period of continued uncertainty, the striker posted on Instagram: “I would like to confirm that I am currently not represented by any football agent or agency. For the time being, I will personally manage all matters relating to my professional career and future. Any enquiries regarding my professional career or future opportunities should be directed exclusively to me personally. Thank you for your understanding.”
Miovski came to Ibrox with a big reputation last season following his heroics for rivals Aberdeen, where he scored 44 goals in 98 appearance. Despite this, while he’s found the back of the net 13 times for Rangers in 41 appearances, he has also been left frustrated by his lack of minutes. He currently finds himself behind strikers Lawrence Shankland, Youssef Chermiti, Ryan Naderi and now, Kelsy in the selection pecking order under manager Derek McInnes - but recent injury problems could see his game time increase.

All hope isn’t lost for Miovski despite squad omission
An ACL injury to Chermiti last month and hamstring injury for Shankland at the weekend may have cleared the path somewhat for Miovski in his quest to regain his place. While Naderi and Kelsy remain ahead of him, the manager made it clear after the Motherwell match that Miovski is still part of his plans, given his pedigree in the Scottish game.
McInnes said: ”Obviously Bojan wasn't in the squad today - but we've still got a guy there who can knows his way about the Scottish Premier League and can score goals as well. So having Ryan, Kevin, Bojan, and Min-su Kim who can play central, we've still got some decent attacking options.”
