The Light Blues will have decisions to make on the flanks come the summer transfer window. Andreas Skov Olsen is on loan with an option to buy, Mikey Moore is due to head back to Tottenham, and Danny Rohl also has Djeidi Gassama, Oliver Antman and Rabbi Matondo at his disposal.

It’s been claimed that Huddersfield Town’s Cameron Ashia is one that has emerged on his radar. He has impressed at League One level this term and has been likened to a raw Jeremy Doku, the Belgian superstar now at Manchester City in the Premier League. He is out of contract in the summer which could make him a financially appealing move too for a star keen to take on new advice.

What Huddersfield Town star are Rangers targeting?

So far this season, the 19-year-old has six goals and three assists from 17 games, playing 28 senior games for Huddersfield, having previously been on the books of Derby County. Reporting in the Daily Mail on the Rangers transfer rumour states: “Huddersfield Town's pacy prospect Cameron Ashia is attracting interest from Rangers, Hearts and English Championship clubs.

“The 20-year-old, who is the nephew of Nottingham Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi, is forging a reputation of his own as a fleet-footed wideman with a series of impressive performances in League One. he is out of contract in the summer and that has alerted clubs north of the border and in the Championship.

“Senior professionals and management have praised his willingness to learn and take advice on board, and he has even drawn comparisons with a raw Jeremy Doku of Manchester City with regard to his pace and willingness to take on the opposition.”

Danny Rohl on Livingston 2-2 Rangers

In the here and now, Rangers drew 2-2 with Livingston in the Premiership on Sunday, having been two goals down to the bottom-ranked side before Christian Montano’s red card for the Lions. Head coach Danny Rohl said ahead of facing rivals Celtic this weekend: "Disappointed that we didn't take three points.

"We give them the set-plays too easily and then we tried everything. Big compliment to the team, to the supporters who pushed us. Ten games to go and it is an exciting race. We are disappointed but we go again.

“We have to carry on. We cannot think too much about the past and I totally believe, the players believe, the club believe and the supporters believe we can do it. We showed against Hearts that we can beat top of the league. Next week we have the next challenge. We will hunt again and again."
