Tottenham player's agent set for Spurs transfer talks after Roberto de Zerbi admission amid Rangers rumours

The Tottenham player has been linked with a transfer to Rangers this summer.

Tottenham boss Roberto de Zerbi has addressed what the future may hold for Mikey Moore amid talk of a return to Rangers.

Spurs loaned the winger to Ibrox last season and he thrived in royal blue. There has been rumbling talk that the Premiership side would want to explore another deal to bring Moore back to Rangers but Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with swooping for the Tottenham talent.

Moore is featuring for Spurs in pre-season and boss De Zerbia has been put on the spot over what will happen with the former Ibrox star. There is still much in the air but talks with Moore’s agent will commence amid Tottenham hopes for signing wingers this summer.

What is the latest with Mikey Moore’s Tottenham future?

When asked about Moore and where he sees his future amid the talk of Dortmund and returning to Rangers, De Zerbi said after a friendly win over Australian side Auckland: "We have to see. We have to analyse the last part of the transfer market, because we try to bring wingers, and then we speak with him, with his agent, with the club, to find the best solution for everyone.

“We played seriously, first of all, because when we play for this club or when we work for this club, we have to work in the best way we can. The young players, they played very, very well, especially in the first half, with a clear idea, with the right spirit, with the right qualities as well. In the second half, we played 30 minutes with the older players, the players of the first team, Mateus Fernandes, Gallagher, Ben Davies, Richarlison, Mathys Tel. We didn't suffer any injuries, and that's big news, important news, especially for the beginning of the season.

“So now we go to Australia and we follow our pre-season. We can't forget the young players, especially for the new rules, the financial fair play, or the rules of the Champions League, Europa League. And then we have to improve our academy.

What are Mikey Moore’s goals for the season ahead at Tottenham?

“We have to help them produce more players, because we need it and it's important for the club. the young players have to push, because with me as a coach, they have the chance to play. Logically, they have to show me they are ready, they have qualities, they have a mentality to play in this club. But when I decide the players, when I decide the squad, I never see the age of the players. I just analyse the qualities and the potential of these players.

Moore said recently of his goals for this season: “To compete in the Premier League - where I want to play football - you need to be physically right. You need to be as good as all the other boys in the league because it's such a physically demanding league. It's something I've had to work hard on over the summer but I'm feeling good in myself and need to show technically as well that I'm at a good level.”
