The Bishopbriggs side bounced back from their opening defeat at Kilsyth to dump Dunipace with four first-half goals.

In the opening stages Rossvale played some very good football and a shot by Craig Holmes went narrowly over the bar.

The breakthrough came on 20 minutes when full-back Anton McDowall received the ball on the left wing and, after beating two players, cut inside and curled a right-foot shot into the net off the far post.

In the 26th minute Dunipace had their first attempt on goal when a shot by Thomson was easily saved by Phil Bannister.

Rossvale then went straight on the attack and doubled their lead. Gary Trussler played a pass to Erald Krasniqi who laid it off nicely for Gary McGrath to slot home.

Rossvale looked to extend their lead further but it was Dunipace who had the next attempt on goal when a shot by Thomson went just past.

On the half-hour mark it was 3-0 when Trussler received a pass on the 18-yard line from Holmes, turned his marker and fired a low shot into the corner of the net.

It was almost straight from the kick-off when Dunipace lost possession and a first time cross by David Shaw was headed just past by Krasniqi.

But Rossvale did score again two minutes before the break.

Holmes, who continually troubled Dunipace on the left, he cut inside and picked out Trussler with a defence splitting pass and the young striker calmly slotted past the oncoming keeper for his second of the game.

The second half saw the tempo of the game drop and there were very few clear chances despite both teams playing good football at times.

One of the few clear chances came with a shot by Trussler which was pushed past the post for a corner kick. Rossvale had three corners in succession but could not add to their tally of goals.

David Shaw received his first yellow card on 78 minutes for a block on Thomson and his second in the final minute for a foul at a corner.
