Lenzie under-14s used their speed outwide to take an early lead, but the larger Sunderland boys gained the upper hand in a competitive high scoring game to take the honours 41-35.

Sunderland scored late in the game to snatch victory in a highly competitive and enjoyable game for both sides.

Lenzie played well with Jack Brown, Euan MacKay and Euan Ferguson putting in tremendous performances as Lenzie competed with a powerful set of lads from Northern England who just deserved their win.

The under-16s took on Falkirk and played very well against a powerful and competent Falkirk side to run away with a high scoring 49-22 victory to entertain the home support.

Hamish Mcallister, Gavin Cruickshanks and Philip Carvalho linked very well to run in a number of scores to see Lenzie home.

The main game was the senior match against National league 2 Hillhead Jordanhill which was a cracking game of rugby that kept the large Mayfest crowd entertained to the final whistle.

Many thanks go Hillhead-Jordanhill for agreeing to play this game at the end of a long season.

The game was evenly matched with both sides looking to run the ball at every opportunity.

Lenzie benefited from guest appearances from the Mcauley brothers and Duncan Wood and it was great to see these ex-players back in Lenzie colours.

Try scorers for Lenzie were Michael Slade, Danny Scouller, Chris Patterson, Alan Picken and Graeme Condie in a game where Hillhead just kept in front for the most of the game and deserved their narrow 29-27 win.
