Around 100 historically and architecturally siginificant buildings in Glasgow are set to open their doors next week to allow Glaswegians and visitors to the city the exclusive opportunity to see the inside of the buildings were the history of Glasgow was made.
From hidden gems like the Arlington Baths Club, to massively historical interiors like the ship of the Queen Mary - there’s a whole swathe of guided tours, trails, and events through the week of the Doors Open Day Festival 2023 next week - from September 11 to September 17.

5. Britannia Panopticon
During doors open day, Britannia Panopticon, will host a tour around the building including a screening of Lumiere film from 1896, Victorian sweets to taste, and artefacts from the history of the old cinema. | Contributed
6. Castlemilk Stables
Over in Castlemilk Glaswegians can get exclusive access to the Castlemilk Stables - it’s incredibly historically important to the people of Castlemilk, and has a very interesting mix of modern and not so modern architecture. | Contributed
7. Glasgow Central Mosque
Glasgow Central Mosque is the largest in Scotland - inspired by Islamic architecture while using Glasgow’s red sandstone, it’s something you won’t be able to find anywhere else in the world. If you’ve never been, it’s well worth a visit. | Contributed
