Whitehill Secondary can be found in Dennistoun in Glasgow's East End on Onslow Drive with the school being founded in 1891 and opened by John Neilson Cuthbertson, the chairman of the Board.
The current school building was opened in 1977 with the old red sandstone building on Whitehill Street being demolished. The Whitehill learning community takes in the likes of Alexandra Parade primary school, Golfhill primary school and Haghill Park primary school.

6. Bill Paterson
Actor Bill Patterson was born in Glasgow in June 1945 and brought up in Dennistoun. His love of acting began during a school trip to the Citizens Theatre in 1961 whilst he was a pupil at Whitehill Secondary School. | HBO
7. James McArthur
