Glasgow is a city built on the back of many neighbourhoods - Glaswegian culture wouldn't be what it is today without neighbourhoods like Dennistoun, Finnieston, and the rest.
Without a doubt Glasgow has the best heritage, people, and patter out of any place in Scotland - although we may be a bit biased in that regard. That's why we asked our audience: 'What's the best neighbourhood to stay in Glasgow?'.
Are we saying one scheme in Glasgow is better than another? Not at all. One man's utopian dream scheme is another mans dystopian neighbourhood nightmare, we Glaswegians are a people of many different tastes - so it's impossible to say that one scheme is objectively better than another.
As one commenter put it:"It’s got to be wherever you are happy, with lovely neighbours and real friends and to me that is Glasgow"
Ranked in no particular order, these are the best areas to live in Glasgow, according to Glaswegians.

5. Kinning Park
As much as our readers lamented that Kinning Park isn't 'the same as it was' - the southside scheme still has a lot to offer | The Glasgow Chronicles

6. Dennistoun
Dennistoun has went through something of a renaissance in recent years with the influx of students after being named one of the coolest neighbourhoods to live in the world by Time Out Magazine. It's not quite gentrified yet though, depending on the café you go to, prices can range for a full Scottish breakfast from £8 to £14. | Redmond’s

7. Shawlands
On the other hand of gentrified schemes, we have Shawlands - it's very different to what it was, but to many it's still their favourite neighbourhood in Glasgow. | Supplied

8. Anderston
The extension of the M8 (originally intended to be part of a Glasgow inner ring road) through Anderston really cut down the community - but to many Anderston was an incredible place to grow up - including none other than Billy Connolly himself. | Google
