Glasgow is a city built on the back of many neighbourhoods - Glaswegian culture wouldn't be what it is today without neighbourhoods like Dennistoun, Finnieston, and the rest.
Without a doubt Glasgow has the best heritage, people, and patter out of any place in Scotland - although we may be a bit biased in that regard. That's why we asked our audience: 'What's the best neighbourhood to stay in Glasgow?'.
Are we saying one scheme in Glasgow is better than another? Not at all. One man's utopian dream scheme is another mans dystopian neighbourhood nightmare, we Glaswegians are a people of many different tastes - so it's impossible to say that one scheme is objectively better than another.
As one commenter put it:"It’s got to be wherever you are happy, with lovely neighbours and real friends and to me that is Glasgow"
Ranked in no particular order, these are the best areas to live in Glasgow, according to Glaswegians.

13. Possilpark
Come on the Possil boys, it's a funny one, ask anyone outside of Glasgow (or from a particularly posh part of the West End) how to pronounce Possilpark and you're surely in for a laugh. | Google Maps

14. Finnieston
Finnieston, much like Shawlands, has completely changed within just a generation. That doesn't change the fact that it's many Glaswegians favourite part of the city. | Virtual Mitchell

15. Springburn
Springburn, not to be confused with Springboig, seems to be the scheme where every Glaswegian you meet outside of Glasgow is from. Maybe that's just anecdotal evidence on our part, but we're always meeting folk from Springburn in the most random of places. | Glasgowist

16. Easterhouse
Easterhouse East was named the area with the fastest growing property price between 2021 and 2022 - does that mean we can expect Easterhouse to go the way of Shawlands, Finnieston, and Dennistoun? It's unlikely, but nonetheless it's many Glaswegians favourite scheme in the city. | Getty Images
