Law Christmas lights switch on 2010

AN EXCITED crowd braved a bitterly cold evening to celebrate the switching on of Law's Christmas lights.

Gala Queen Courtney Baxter switched on the lights, assisted by Santa Claus, who took time out of his busy schedule to be there.

Gloves, hats and scarves were certainly the order of the day but thankfully the singing of the Law Primary School choir warmed everyone up and put them in a very festive mood.

Just before 4.30pm Queen Courtney, a pupil at Law Primary, arrived along with Santa for the big switch-on.

Beforehand Rev Una Stewart led the crowd in a short prayer – reminding

people of the true meaning of the festive season.
