The award is a scheme fronted by Lloyds TSB Scotland, introduced to recognise the achievements of primary and secondary schools competing at national level.
Each month, the Scottish Schools’ Football Association nominates one team for excelling in the beautiful game, and staff and pupils at the Giffnock school are very happy to have clinched it for April.

Josef Fuchs, football co-ordinator at St Ninian’s, said: “Our teams have been a credit to the school and everyone has been cheering them on. I’m delighted for them and hope they continue to develop the way they have this season”.
The award was last week presented to the teams by Kay Cairns, manager at the Thornliebank branch of Lloyds TSB.
She commented: “Congratulations to St Ninian’s high school for winning the school of the month award for April.
“The boys and girls have shown exceptional dedication and enthusiasm for their sport — to win more than one national competition is a fantastic achievement”.
