Carluke Scotia students win 14 medals at PUMA event

STUDENTS from Carluke’s Scotia Taekwon-Do won an impressive 14 medals at the Professional Unification of Martial Arts (PUMA) World Championships in Swindon.

Scotia member Fiona Trainer, who won the 36 years and over sparring flyweight title, said: “It was fabulous to win.”

Fiona (36), of Kirkfieldbank, said that the victory was the biggest of her taekwon-do life so far. She received a trophy and medal for her efforts.
