Your £140m Celtic starting XI after January transfers gallery - according to Football Manager

There were no departures but there were certainly some surprise arrivals at the virtual Celtic Park!

Christmas is always a great time for gaming and we’ve stepped into the virtual dugout with Football Manager to predict what incomings and outgoings there could be at Celtic next month.

To set the scene, Ange Postecoglou’s side are in stunning domestic form and have taken a five-point lead over Old Firm rivals Rangers after losing just one of their first 25 league games. They have also progressed in the Scottish Cup and will visit Queens Park in the fifth round after seeing off Morton - but their hopes of a Premier Sports Cup win were ended by a 2-1 semi-final defeat against Rangers.

It’s safe to say Celtic were up against things in the Champions League after being placed in a group with former winners Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Porto but they edged into third place by taking four points from the latter and battling to home draws against the other two. That has sent them into a Europe League first knockout stage tie against Bulgarian side Ludogorets.

But what has happened during the January transfer window? Thankfully there were no major departures - but there were two new signings, with one making a shock return to the club.
