Premiership rivals will 'review' situation of Rangers player in summer as permanent transfer considered
Ibrox loanee has enjoyed a strong start to the season in the Scottish Premiership
Dundee United are reportedly considering a permanent transfer bid for Rangers midfielder Lyall Cameron.
The 24-year old was signed on a season-long loan by the Tayside outfit in September and has been a mainstay in the middle of the park for manager Jim Goodwin since. Cameron has helped United stay unbeaten in their last six matches - the most recent of which being a valuable point against Celtic. They currently sit sixth in the Premiership table.
Rangers boss Derek McInnes chose to farm Cameron out so he could acquire more minutes at the highest level. The Scotsman was also sent out on loan last season to Aberdeen, where he also impressed. Given his strong form on Tayside, United are reportedly considering a permanent bid.

Dundee United consider permanent bid for Rangers loanee
According to Football Insider: “Dundee United are interested in signing Rangers loan star Lyall Cameron permanently. Cameron has nailed down a place in Jim Goodwin's side this season and is playing some of the best football of his career so far.”
Cameron, who grew up a fan of the Tannadice club, has scored two goals and registered two assists in his first six games for the Arabs - and makes up one third of the highly-praised midfield trio of him, Dylan Tait and Zidane Iqbal. Transfer expert Pete O’Rourke added that United will review his situation in the summer.
He said: "I'm sure Dundee United and other clubs will be interested in signing Cameron [permanently] because of his form. But look, he's under a long-term contract at Rangers until 2029, and I think it's one that they will probably review come the summer."

Goodwin admits long-time admiration of Cameron
After their 1-0 Premiership victory over Hibs last month, the Dundee United boss explained that Cameron has always been a player that’s on his radar. He said: He said: “Lyall is a player I've always admired. I was slightly envious of the club across the road when he was playing for them! When the opportunity became available in the summer, thankfully we were in a position to go and do something. Our supporters know the backstory there with Lyall and his family – huge Dundee United supporters.
“We are delighted to have him here and he’s settled in really, really quickly. That's credit to the group for making him feel so welcome. He's at a place where he knows we believe in him. I think that's important for any player. We're playing him in his favourite position. We play a style of football that really suits his game and I think that will bring out the best in him.”
