Rangers vying with clubs in Spain and Italy for player with 'remarkable technical skill' as transfer talks held
The Cameroon international plays for Sturm Graz in Austria with discussions ongoing
Rangers are reportedly leading the race to sign Cameroon international Ryan Fosso this summer - with talks already underway with the player’s representatives.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder, who plays for Sturm Graz in Austria, is also attracting interest from Spanish club Levante and Serie A side Torino, one of two Italian teams believed to be monitoring the situation.
However, Sky Sports Switzerland claim the Ibrox club are currently furthest down the line in terms of striking a deal with the Austrian Bundesliga outfit.

Rangers have recent transfer dealings with Sturm Graz after successfully bringing Tochi Chukwuani to Glasgow during the winter transfer window and Swiss-born Fosso could soon follow suit.
He began his career in Switzerland with BSC Young Boys before making the switch to Vaduz, where he spent two seasons in Liechtenstein. A move to Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard on a free transfer followed and his form in the Netherlands led Sturm Graz to shell out £900,000 to snap him up just six months ago.

Despite agreeing a long-term contract in January, his stay in Graz could prove short-lived with interest ramping up. Rangers, though, will need to negotiate a substantial fee in order for them to sell.
Fosso won his first senior international cap for Cameroon back in March. He is viewed as a cheaper alternative to Bologna skipper Lewis Ferguson with new Rangers boss Derek McInnes keen to bolster his options in the middle of the park.
The Light Blues are also attempting to thrash out a deal with Partizan Belgrade for highly-rated captain Vanja Dragojevic, with the possibility that Nico Raskin or Connor Barron could well move on.
With Fosso now additionally on the radar, it would suggest that Rangers are planning to cash in on Raskin after his World Cup campaign with Belgium comes to an end.
What Ryan Fosso could bring to Rangers
Transfer specialist Sacha Tavolieri has offered an insight into what Fosso could bring to Rangers. He told the Scottish Sun: “Ryan Fosso has established himself as one of the most sought-after players in his position.
“A modern midfielder, he combines excellent game reading, controlled aggression in duels, and a ball-winning ability that allows him to extinguish numerous dangerous situations. His work rate, tactical intelligence, and capacity to cover large areas make him a true asset to his team.
“His off-the-ball qualities, constant pressing, and positional awareness have also been regularly highlighted since his arrival in Graz. Beyond his defensive impact, Fosso also possesses remarkable technical skill.
“Capable of breaking through the first line of defense with his passing or dribbling, he plays with great precision under pressure and displays a rare maturity for a player of his age.
“His profile perfectly matches the demands of modern European football, where midfielders capable of winning back possession, restarting attacks, and imposing intensity are particularly sought after.”
