According to the Hearts Standard, the Jambos are consigned to losing the talented 15-year-old forward who has also attracted significant interest from Premier League clubs in England.

Hutchison is viewed as one of Scottish football’s brightest young prospect, having already impressed for his country at youth level by scoring against the likes of top nations Italy, England and Portugal.

Clubs south of the border are continuing to monitor the player’s situation. However, it appears the teenager could make the move along the M8 to Glasgow this summer and continue his development at Ibrox.

It’s understood that due to his age, the Gorgie club will be due a compensation fee. The same report adds that Hearts also found themselves in a similar position with fellow youngster James Wilson who was recently a man in demand, with the Gers and Celtic among a host of clubs chasing his signature.

In this instance, Wilson opted to sign a new deal at Tynecastle and has since made his competitive debut for Steven Naismith’s side, making three substitute appearances last season.
