The newest group of housemates were kept under wraps until last nights (October 8) launch show which was hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.

The Glasgow contestant was the centre of attention on opening night. During the third game of the “housewarming party” task set by Big Brother, Olivia, from was chosen by fellow contestant Jenkin as the contestant he thinks will be hardest to live with, telling her “I don’t think we’ve gelled”. Big Brother then announced that Olivia would be facing the first public eviction on Friday.

Later in the diary room, Big Brother told Olivia that she can “change her fate and win immunity” during a game the housemates will play in 24 hours where they rank themselves from most to least entertaining.

In the second episode of the season, the dancer, 23, succeeded in her secret task and avoided being ranked ‘least entertaining’ which meant she was safe from the first public vote scheduled for Friday October 13.

Meanwhile, Olivia was embroiled in tension with one of her fellow contestants over sharing food. She wass eating her lunch when Farida said to her: “Can I have a little taste of salmon? I’m much more of a fish person than a chicken person.”

After Farida takes some fish, Olivia went into the garden to complain.

She said: “Opinions on sharing food?”

Olivia explains: “I was eating my salmon and my corn and Farida was like ‘Can I have some of your corn? And I was like ‘ yeah, go for it.’ Then she started eating my salmon, my actual lunch. She had a spoon and was eating off my plate.”

She added: “I was a bit like, “I don’t know how I feel about this.”

Olivia’s First Week in the Big Brother House

Olivia has been embroiled in a series of arguments and quarrels on ITV2’s Big Brother show since arriving in the house. She has also tried to teach her fellow housemates the words to Scottish song You Cannae Shove Your Granny Off the Bus during a task and demonstrated her dancing skills.

She has complained about fellow contestant Farida behind her back and criticised Yinrun for being too polite, who was defended by Dylan. She said “I’m not making a drama, I’m not making a drama! Dylan’s making a drama, he’s making me the villain!” to which he replied: “You’re making yourself the villain!”

While completing tasks in the first week she has struck up a friendship with Zak, a model from Manchester. After successfully completing a secret mission from Big Brother Olivia will not be up for eviction this Friday in the first public vote.

What part of the experience is she most looking forward to?

“The fact that it’s gonna be like being in a completely alternate universe. It’s a totally surreal experience.

“I like to meet people, I’m quite a social being. I think just the overall experience of getting to disappear for a few weeks and take part in something that’s so excluded from normal day-to-day life.”

How would Olivia’s friends and family describe her?

“Loud, confident, annoying. I’m the type of person who is up for anything. I’m the life and soul of the party. I’m that friend who people invite to things because at least I’ll be fun.

“They know that they’re guaranteed a good night if I’m there.”

Who would be Olivia’s dream housemate?

“Alison Hammond.”

What is Olivia most likely to get nominated for?

“I think they’ll nominate me for being full on, and for my brutal honesty and oversharing of opinions.”

“I want a new car. I’m an idiot with money, so I’d probably put it somewhere safe where I can only access a small amount or else it will all be gone within the first 24 hours.”
