How to watch Rangers vs St Mirren: date, TV channel, live stream + team news for Scottish Premiership clash

Rangers will go in search of a much-needed league win against a St Mirren side on a three-match winless run

Rangers manager Philippe Clement has faced plenty of criticism and struggled to get supporters on his side after experiencing a topsy-turvy start to the campaign - and they return to domestic action against St Mirren on Sunday requiring another big result.

The Ibrox club lost more ground on leaders Celtic and Aberdeen at the league summit last weekend, crashing to a 1-0 defeat to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park. However, they responded well to that setback by producing a clinical attacking display to overcome Romanian champions FCSB in their latest Europa League league phase clash on Thursday.

St Mirren, on the other hands, are on a miserable run ahead of their visit to Govan, having lost all of their last three matches including a heavy 4-0 defeat to Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend. Manager Stephen Robinson signed a new deal until 2027 earlier this week and he will be hoping to cause an upset against an unpredictable Gers side.

What is the latest team news?

Rangers have fresh concerns over the fitness of Tom Lawrence and Leon Balogun after both players were forced off against FCSB on Thursday night. Attacking midfielder Lawrence had to be replaced at half-time after failing to shake off a knock, with centre-back Balogun “cramped up”.

Danilo and Ridvan Yilmaz are closing in on a return to competitive action after stepping up their recoveries, but Rabbi Matondo and Oscar Cortes are still missing.

St Mirren are without a trio of players. Defenders Alex Iacovitti (tendon) and Richard Taylor (hernia surgery) and winger Connor McMenamin (knee) remain absentees, while striker Jonah Ayunga’s involvement is in doubt after sitting out of last weekend’s match against Hearts.
